ILMO at the IL State Fair

For over 20 years the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) has maintained a presence in the Governor’s tent at the Illinois State Fair. This year ILMO Products Co. partnered with DCEO, Miller Welding, and Lewis and Clark Community College to showcase the “Augmented Arc” virtual welding machine.

Lewis and Clark use the augmented reality welding system in the classroom, so beginner and intermediate-level apprenticeship students can experience the most realistic multiprocess welding simulation available. Welding Technology professor, Travis Jumper was on hand to give visitors to the tent and Governor JB Pritzker the chance to experience welding first hand.
